Special Music Events 2011-2012

Sunday, September 18, 2011 - Dedication of Music Ministries at the 11:15 Traditional Service

We will have guests on trumpet, trombone and timpani to accompany the Chancel Choir and Pathway for this special dedication of our service to the music ministry at TFUMC.

 

Sunday, October 9, 2011 - Consecration Sunday - Combined service at 10:30

We will have Ethan DeMore and Steel Cross as our special guests to lead our Chancel Choir, Son Rise Choir, Cafe Praise Band, Pathway and Canterbury Choir for this important service in the life of our church when we consecrate our gifts and service to our Lord.

 

Sunday, November 20, 2011 - Community Thanksgiving Service at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at TFUMC

We will host a combined choir from churches in our community, led by our own Chancel and Son Rise Choirs.  Anna Williams from Thomson Presbyterian will be leading the choir as we sing "A Song of Thanksgiving" arranged by Alan Billingsley.

 

Sunday, December 11, 2011, 6:30 p.m. - An Evening of Christmas Music

The Magellan String Quartet and Dale Hesse at the organ will accompany the Chancel, Son Rise, Pathway and Canterbury Choir for this special concert of Christmas music by John Rutter and Healy Willan.  The service of music and scripture will be followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.  An offering will be taken to benefit Pathway and their summer choir tour.

 

Wednesday, December 14, 6:00 p.m.

The Cherub Choir will present a Christmas program at Wednesday Night Supper led by Joyce Cheek. 

 

Friday, March 1, 2012 - Pathway Broadway Dinner Theater

Pathway will present a dinner theatre to benefit their summer choir tour.  Make plans to attend this fun evening!

 

Sunday, April 1, 2012 - Palm Sunday - Combined service at 10:30 in the sanctuary.

All choirs at TFUMC will participate in this special combined worship service.  The choirs will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra.

 

Sunday, May 6, 2012, 6:30 p.m. - Spring Children's Musical

The Canterbury Choir and Cherub Choir along with daycare students will be presenting a musical in the FLC

 

June 16 - 20, 2012  is the Pathway Choir Tour!  Destination to be announced!
